This is the first time that I had used Final Cut Pro X a software for video editing. The first step was to use the memory card reader and portable hard drive to upload our footage. We knew that the MAC had recognised these when they appeared on the desktop.
We then clicked on 'Finder' and then onto 'Applications' to locate the program Final Cut Pro X.
The next step was to create an event so we would be able to place our footage on the timeline. I did this by clicking on 'Trial' and then clicking onto 'New Event'. This then gave us a new timeline so we could upload footage.
We then imported our footage onto the event by clicking onto 'File', 'Import' and 'Media' by doing this we could add the shots that we filmed onto the timeline. Once imported we used the scrubber bar to place each clip onto the timeline.
